Over 10 cases of Rahmah Sales label misuse reported in Kelantan

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan branch of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has received over 10 reports this year involving the misuse of the "Jualan Rahmah" (Rahmah Sales) label in the state.

Its director Azman Ismail said the cases involved traders who deliberately used the term to attract customers to their premises, even though the prices offered did not comply with the rates set by the government.

"The prices they offer do not comply with the Rahmah price range, differing by between 10% and 30%,” he said here on Monday (Oct 6).

Azman said the ministry had recently received complaints about such practices in Kampung Batu 10, Kadok, and Langgar here, where traders sold items at normal prices instead of those set by the ministry.

He advised traders involved in such activities to immediately stop the practice.

He had earlier presented the keys to an Ihsan Rahmah Madani housing unit recipient in Kampung Pantai Mek Mas here.

Commenting on the housing initiative, Azman said it demonstrated the private sector’s capability to support the government’s efforts in ensuring that the people in Kelantan, in particular, have access to comfortable homes.

"With strong support from all parties, this initiative not only helps ease the people’s financial burden but also contributes to more sustainable economic development at both the state and national levels," he said. – Bernama
