Egyptian held for beating wife and threatening to kill her


MELAKA: A 48-year-old Egyptian was remanded for four days by the Magistrate’s Court in Ayer Keroh for allegedly assaulting, strangling and threatening to kill his Malaysian wife, who is believed to be a member of royalty.

Magistrate N. Sivashangari issued the remand order to assist investigations under Section 323 of the Penal Code and Section 18A of the Domestic Violence Act 1994.
