Zahid congratulates Tang Jie-Ee Wei despite China Masters final loss


KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi congratulated national mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei on emerging as runners-up in the 2025 China Masters tournament.

The Deputy Prime Minister urged them to continue playing with their indomitable spirit, stating that they served as inspirations to all Malaysians despite their 8-21, 17-21 loss to Thai pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Supissara Paewsampran in Sunday’s (Sept 21) final.

"You have proven your abilities at the world stage by emerging 2025 World Champions in France recently.

"Both of you aren’t only world champions, but champions in the hearts of all Malaysians,” he posted on Facebook on Sunday.- Bernama
