KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Theme Parks says that it is currently working closely and fully cooperating with all relevant authorities as they conduct a thorough investigation into the incident involving an attraction at Sunway Lagoon on Saturday, which affected 10 guests.

Confirming the incident, the company also expressed deep regret, saying their thoughts are with the guests and their families.

“The safety and well-being of our guests are our highest priority. Since the incident, our main focus has been on the care, medical needs and well-being of those affected.

“We have provided the necessary medical assistance and support, and remain in close contact with the guests and their families,” the company said in a statement yesterday.

Sunway Theme Parks said it would also continue to provide its full assistance to the authorities and support to those who were affected.

“We take this matter extremely seriously. We remain firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety across our attractions and facilities.” On Monday, Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat was reported to have said that 10 people had sustained minor injuries in a roller coaster incident at a theme park.

“The victims sustained minor injuries. A police report on the incident was lodged at 11.45am on Sunday,” he said.
