Tang Jie-Ee Wei finish second in China Masters

PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei's hopes of winning their second title of the year were dashed after they went down to Thailand's Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Supissara Paewsampran in the China Masters final.

Tang Jie-Ee Wei found it tough to handle the world No. 4 Thai duo and lost out 8-21, 17-21 at the Shenzhen Arena on Sunday (Sept 21).

It was the world No. 3 pair's fourth defeat to Dechapol-Supissara in five meetings.

Tang Jie-Ee Wei though can still be proud of their efforts after they had made it into their second consecutive final after capturing the world crown last month in Paris.

It was also Tang Jie-Ee Wei's first ever World Tour Super 750 final.
