Traffic on major highways slow as motorists head home Sept 21 night

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic pm several major highways are slow-moving as of 10pm on Sunday (Sept 21) night, with a rise in the number of vehicles returning home after the end of the school holidays.

A Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman said that along the southbound North-South Expressway (NSE) E2 route, traffic was slow from Bandar Baru Nilai to Bandar Ainsdale due to a car that caught fire at KM276.5, blocking the left and emergency lanes.

"Traffic is also slow along the stretch from Simpang Pulai to Kulai while northbound traffic is also slow from the Seremban Rest and Relaxation (R&R) Stop to Bandar Baru Nilai," they told Bernama on Sunday night, adding that for the NSE Route E1, northbound traffic from Bandar Baharu to Jawi as well as southbound traffic from Perai to Juru were slow.

"There also is a crash at westbound KM110.4 of East Coast Expressway 1 from Temerloh to Lanchang that is obstructing the left lane, but traffic at the location is under control," they added. – Bernama
