MetMalaysia warns of bad weather in multiple states until 9pm on Sept 5


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) is warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in seven states and federal territories in the country until 9pm on Friday (Sept 5).

In a statement at 5.55pm on Friday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Terengganu (Kemaman); Pahang (Bentong, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin); Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat), Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur; Negri Sembilan (Jelebu) and Johor (Mersing).

Bad weather is also forecast in Sarawak in Kuching; Serian; Samarahan; Sri Aman (Sri Aman); Miri (Telang Usan) and Limbang.

In Sabah, areas affected are the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan); West Coast and Sandakan (Beluran) and also the Federal Territory of Labuan.
