VELUM LABS, a subsidiary of Sapura Group, announced an agreement with Specialist Computer Centres (SCC) to deploy its Enhanced Cyber Assurance (ECA) capability across elements of SCC’s global operations.

SCC is one of Europe’s largest privately owned IT services providers, supporting a broad customer base across public and private sectors, including government, financial services, and enterprise organisations.

With operations spanning multiple countries, SCC brings significant reach and experience in delivering technology services at scale.

Through this agreement – signed at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2026 exhibition – Velum Labs’ assurance capability will be introduced into SCC’s service environment, supporting improved visibility of cyber risk, continuous monitoring, and enhanced reporting across distributed systems and supply chains.

Supporting evolving cyber requirements

The collaboration reflects a shared focus on helping organisations better understand and manage cyber risk in an increasingly complex digital landscape.

By combining SCC’s established service delivery model with Velum Labs’ data-driven assurance approach, the two organisations aim to provide practical, measurable support to customers navigating evolving regulatory and operational demands.

Strengthening international collaboration

The agreement also highlights the continued development of cyber collaboration between Malaysia and the United Kingdom.

It reflects a broader recognition of the importance of international partnerships in supporting secure digital growth and trusted technology exchange.

This relationship is supported by industry leadership, including Velum Labs founder Tan Sri Shahril Shamsuddin and Rigby Group PLC chairman Sir Peter Rigby, who have both contributed to fostering closer cooperation between organisations in the two countries.

Shahril said: “We’re pleased to be working with SCC on this initiative. Their experience and scale across Europe provide a valuable opportunity to apply our assurance capabilities in a real-world, operational context.

“This agreement is also an example of how organisations in Malaysia and the UK can work together in a practical way to address shared cyber challenges.”

An SCC representative added: “Our customers continue to look for clearer insight into cyber risk and resilience.

“Working with Velum Labs allows us to explore additional ways of supporting those needs through enhanced visibility and continuous assurance.”

Looking ahead

As organisations continue to adapt to changing regulatory expectations and threat environments, the focus on continuous assurance and measurable outcomes is expected to grow.

This agreement represents a step towards that direction, with both organisations working collaboratively to support their customers’ evolving requirements.
