Thunderstorms, heavy rain in KL, Putrajaya and 10 states, until midnight


KUALA LUMPUR,: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as 10 other states, until midnight on Tuesday (April 28).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said in a statement today that the affected states are Kedah (Kuala Muda, Kulim and Bandar Baharu); Penang; Perak (Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Raub); and Selangor.

The same warning has also been issued for Negri Sembilan, covering Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Tampin; Melaka; as well as Tangkak, Muar and Batu Pahat in Johor.

In Sabah, the affected area is Putatan in the West Coast district, while in Sarawak, the warning involves Kuching (Lundu), Serian and Samarahan (Simunjan). - Bernama
