Bersatu signed CSA to support Budget 2027, receive allocation

KUALA LUMPUR: Bersatu on Thursday (Oct 29) signed a Confidence and Supply Agreement (CSA) with the Madani government as part of its commitment to support the Supply Bill 2027, or Budget 2027.

Party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the agreement would allow Bersatu MPs to receive the same allocation as government backbenchers.

The signing ceremony took place in Parliament and was attended by Bersatu vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, Putrajaya MP Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin and Langkawi MP Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Abdullah, among others.

“A total of six Bersatu MPs signed the agreement and we will support the Budget 2027, which is currently being debated.

“There are also matters concerning institutional reforms, including proposals to limit the Prime Minister’s tenure to a maximum of two terms and to separate the powers of the Attorney General.

“In return, the government has decided to provide our MPs with the same allocation for constituency development as that received by government MPs," he said when met by reporters at Parliament after the signing ceremony.

The agreement was also signed by Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, bringing the total number of signatories to seven.
