Two firms secured government contracts over RM500mil, says Saifuddin

KUALA LUMPUR: Two companies were awarded government contracts worth more than RM500mil each for 2023 and 2024, according to records up to June 30, 2025, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

The Home Minister said Galaxy Aerospace (M) Sdn Bhd was awarded a procurement contract for four medium lift helicopters for the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) in 2024.

"The contract spans five years, from January 19, 2024 to January 18, 2029, and is valued at RM529.66mil," he said in a parliamentary written reply to Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli (PH–Pandan).

Rafizi had asked the Home Ministry to list all companies or bidders awarded procurement tenders exceeding RM500mil (with details) for 2023, 2024, and up to June 30, 2025.

Saifuddin said the other company, HeiTech Padu Berhad, was awarded the contract to study, propose, design, develop, supply, deliver, install, test, integrate, migrate and synchronise data, commission, and implement change management and training for the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe) project for the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) in 2024.

"The five-year contract runs from October 18, 2024 to October 17, 2029, with a total value of RM892.20mil," he said.

Both procurement processes were conducted via open tender, with decisions made in accordance with Treasury circulars.

Tenders were presented to the Procurement Board of the Home Ministry for deliberation, with final approval at the Finance Ministry level.
