Motorcyclist dies after crashing into lorry in Kulai


KULAI: A motorcyclist died after hitting the rear of a lorry turning right at the KM41 Jalan Johor Baru–Ayer Hitam intersection.

Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said the crash occurred on Monday (Aug 18) at 10.11 am.

He said the 32-year-old local man was riding towards Ayer Hitam when he rammed into the back of the lorry.

ACP Tan said the victim sustained severe injuries and died at the scene, while the 42-year-old local lorry driver was unhurt.

He added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

ACP Tan urged witnesses or anyone with information to contact Insp Mohd Ruslan Mohamed at 013-306 3710 or the Kulai Police District Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Unit.
