Two missing men found dead in Ayer Tawar


IPOH: The police have found the bodies of two men who were previously reported missing in separate locations in Ayer Tawar on Wednesday (July 9).

Manjung OCPD Asst Comm Hasbullah Abd Rahman said the first victim, 55, was found in an empty house in Taman Biru on Wednesday (July 9) at about 8.30am, while the second victim, 50, was found near an oil palm estate at Jalan Taman Sri Perak 2 at about 9.40am.

"The first victim, an unemployed man, was found in a rotting condition, while the second victim, a businessman, was found unconscious.

"The second victim was pronounced dead by medical personnel," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

"The bodies of both victims were brought to the Seri Manjung Hospital forensics unit for post-mortem," he said, adding that both cases were unrelated.

"Initial investigations found no foul play," he added.

ACP Hasbullah said missing persons' reports of the two victims were lodged on Tuesday (July 8), adding that both cases have been classified as sudden death.
