PORT DICKSON: Analysts can forecast multiple results, but it will be the voters who decide who forms the next state government, says Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
"Everyone is entitled to their opinion or findings. We will wait and see when the (state election) results come out on Aug 1 and accept it. That is the rakyat's will.
"Personally, I am not brave enough to predict the people's choices," the Negri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan chairman said when met during a programme in Linggi here on Tuesday (July 28).
Aminuddin, who is also the caretaker Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar, added that the campaign atmosphere has been positive so far.
However, he reminded all quarters to act ethically.
His comments come after political analyst and former Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming predicted that Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional are likely to win up to 25 out of the 36 seats in the Negri Sembilan state assembly.
Ong had reportedly said that the Barisan and Perikatan electoral understanding would allow both coalitions to consolidate Malay support.
He also projected that Pakatan would win between 11 and 13 seats.
Pakatan is contesting all 36 seats, while Barisan is contesting 25.
Bersatu will be contesting 24 seats, while Perikatan is contesting 11.
Berjasa, Parti Orang Asli Malaysia and Parti Sosialis Malaysia are fielding one candidate each, with four independent candidates also contesting at the state polls.
Polling day falls on Aug 1.
