Singer Azza screams to ward off scammers

FORGET about polite refusals or simply hanging up, a singer revealed her unconventional tip to get back at scammers by screaming hysterically when she receives such calls, Kosmo! Online reported.

In an Instagram post, Noor Azzarima Zawari, 48, better known as Azza, advised the public to be cautious of online scams.

Azza, who is also a member of the 1990s girl band, Elite, shared a recent experience where a scammer posing as a representative from Touch ’n Go, tried to trick her.

Touch ’n Go later clarified in Azza’s comment section that they never use personal numbers or ask users to click on suspicious links.

“This is my way of raising awareness for all of us,” said Azza.

“Be careful and don’t give anything the scammer asks for. You’ll only end up losing your money.”

> The financial struggles of a widow in Dungun, Terengganu, have pushed her to dip into her eldest daughter’s education loan just to buy household necessities.

Kosmo! Online reported that the mother of three fell into financial hardship when her husband, who was the family’s sole breadwinner, died two years ago after a fall while cutting down a tree.

While her 19-year-old eldest daughter is currently studying in Kuantan, her 16-year-old son has taken on odd jobs like harvesting oil palm fruits to help out.
