Viral fender bender on MRR2 caused by negligent motorcyclist

AMPANG: A fender bender between two cars, caused by a negligent motorcycle rider, recently went viral on social media.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said the incident occurred along the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) near a hypermarket in Ampang at about 2.47pm on July 1.

"There was dashcam footage from one of the cars and it went viral," he said.

Initial investigations revealed that the rider suddenly changed from the right-most lane into the left lane to turn into a junction, causing the driver of the first car to swerve and ram into the back of another car.

"No injuries were reported and only the vehicles suffered damages," he added.

ACP Mohd Azam reminded road users not to make sudden drastic decisions while in traffic.

"Such action is dangerous for them and others," he added.
