Man dies after fall from 11th floor of PPR in Kuala Lumpur


KUALA LUMPUR: A 25-year-old man died after allegedly falling from the 11th floor of the Beringin People's Housing Project (PPR) at Jalan Mirr off Taman Beringin.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari stated that the incident occurred at about 7.39pm on Friday (June 27).

"We received a report that the victim, who worked as a waiter at a nightclub, fell from the 11th floor of the PPR," he said when contacted on Saturday (June 28).

Witnesses on the 9th and 11th floors recalled hearing the victim shouting while on the phone with someone prior to the incident.

"The victim's mother said he was talking to his girlfriend on the phone. We have yet to record the statement of the girlfriend," he added.

The case has been classified as sudden death.
