MELAKA: Two 16-year-old Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) Alor Gajah students who were reported missing earlier this week have been found safe near Central Market in Kuala Lumpur.
Alor Gajah OCPD Superintendent Ahmad Abu Bakar said Form Four students Siti Nur Aaira Aidi and Nur Aisy Humaira Mohd Saad were located at around 10.31pm on Friday (Aug 14).
“One of the students claimed that she had fainted at their last known location," Supt Ahmad said on Saturday (Aug 15). "However, we will wait for a medical report from Hospital Kuala Lumpur to verify the claim.”
Police first received a missing persons report regarding the duo from one of their teachers at 10.46pm on Tuesday (Aug 11).
Mara chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki expressed relief over their safe discovery in a social media post shortly after they were found, having previously appealed to the public for prayers and information regarding their whereabouts.
