Female pupil leads team to win IYRC competition

A FEMALE pupil from SJK (T) Taman Tun Aminah led her team to win the International Youth Robot Competition (IYRC) Asean 2025, Makkal Osai reported.

The IYRC Asean attracted more than 800 students from the region.

The Johor Baru school team led by Sunswarna Ganapathi had entered the “green energy” themed category.

The other team members were Harish and Adrian, who are students from other schools.

Their entry was a robot capable of autonomously detecting forest fires and putting them out in areas not accessible to humans.

The innovation won them first place with a prize money of RM500.

The event, which was held in EduCity Iskandar Puteri from June 13 to June 15, was officially launched by Iskandar Puteri City Council chairman Ahmad Nazir Mohd, who represented Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
