A WOMAN’S work is never done – as seen in the case of a mother who raised nine children and is now taking care of her 30 grandchildren, China Press reported.
Video footage taken at a house in Guangdong, China, resembled a kindergarten with toddlers running around everywhere.
The woman had thought she would have some time to herself when her children reached adulthood.
Instead, she has had to take on the responsibility of caring for their children.
Her daily routine involves cooking, doing the laundry and keeping an eye on the youngsters.
Despite the high-intensity caregiving, her family said she rarely complains about it.
Reactions to the story were divided.
Some Internet users praised her dedication to her family.
Others were concerned for her wellbeing, citing the enormous stress she must feel from taking care of so many children.
Critics pointed at a structural issue in society where both parents had to earn a living and as such, the child-rearing responsibilities are pushed to the elderly.
