Blaze destroyed 90% of Jalan Midah church, says Fire Dept


KUALA LUMPUR: A church on Jalan Midah was destroyed in a fire on Tuesday (June 10) night.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said that the department arrived at the scene at 8.48pm on Tuesday (June 10) following a distress call.

A total of 35 firefighters were deployed to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

“The fire destroyed around 80% to 90% of the building. It was fully extinguished at 9.21pm and no victims were involved.

“The cause of the fire and value of damages are still under investigation by the Department’s forensics team,” it said in a statement.
