Three injured in accident involving lorry and cars near Gopeng


IPOH: Three people were injured in an accident involving a lorry and two cars in Kampung Kepayang, near Gopeng.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said firemen reached the site around 6.18am on Wednesday (May 21).

He said a 41-year-old female driver broke her leg. The other car driver, a 31-year-old man, was also injured, while the 27-year-old lorry driver sustained minor injuries.

"Two victims, the lorry driver and the 31-year-old man, were assisted by the public to exit their vehicles, while the woman was trapped inside her car.

"The victim was successfully rescued from the vehicle by firemen," he said.
