MetMalaysia: Thunderstorms, bad weather forecast in 10 states, KL until 6pm


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in parts of Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak until 6pm on Saturday (May 10).

The Meteorology Malaysia Department (MetMalaysia) issued a warning at 3.15pm of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Kedah (Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu), Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Kelantan (Jeli and Gua Musang), Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong and Rompin), Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat), Kuala Lumpur, Negri Sembilan (Jelebu and Jempol) and Johor (Segamat, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru)

Severe weather is also expected in Sarawak: Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Betong (Saratok and Kabong), Sarikei (Sarikei), Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro), Miri (Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang as well as in Sabah: Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Nabawan), West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud), Tawau, Sandakan and Kudat.
