Anwar files nomination to defend PKR presidency, confirms Sim Tze Tzin

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has officially submitted his nomination to defend the PKR presidency, according to Sim Tze Tzin.

“Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has submitted his nomination as a candidate for president,” the Bayan Baru MP confirmed in a Facebook post on Friday (May 9).

Anwar’s name appeared in the official party nomination system earlier today, confirming his intention to continue leading the party he has helmed since its formation.

No nominations have been submitted for the deputy presidency, a post widely seen as the one to watch in this year’s internal elections.

The party election, scheduled for May 21, has attracted at least 11 nominations for the four vice-president posts, with Sim being one of them.
