KUALA LUMPUR: The police are not ruling out the possibility that Datin Seri Pamela Ling's three children and other individuals in Singapore will be called as witnesses to assist investigation into her abduction.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the police have various avenues to record their statements in the course of the investigation.
"We can either ask them to come to Kuala Lumpur or Johor Baru (to record their statements).
"We can also do so at the Malaysian High Commission.
"However, we will record their statements if the need arises in the investigation," he told reporters at the KL police headquarters on Thursday (May 8).
So far the police have recorded the statements of 16 individuals including the victim's husband, he said.
"We will call up the husband again if new evidence emerges or there are new developments in the case," he said.

Comm Rusdi said the police will also look into the divorce proceeding between Ling, 42, and her husband.
"We are conducting a thorough investigation so we will look at the circumstances in their divorce," he added.
On April 9, Ling was summoned to the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya to assist with an investigation under the MACC Act 2009 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.
However, she reportedly went missing while on her way to the appointment. Her lawyer filed a police report regarding her disappearance on the same day.
As of Sunday, no ransom demand had been made in connection with her disappearance.
