Nik Nazmi accepts PKR divisional polls results

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR vice president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad (pic) has accepted the results of the party's 2025 divisional elections which have been confirmed and finalised by the central leadership council.

Nik Nazmi, who failed to defend the Setiawangsa division chief's position and lost to actor-director Datuk Afdlin Shauki, said he had used the correct channels regarding the election results.

Nik Nazmi who is also Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister, was reported to have sent a letter of protest to the party election committee over the results.

"I used the party's channels (for that) and (for) anything else, I will follow party channels as well," he told reporters after the opening of the "Sustainaboleh" and Green Factory Experiential Concept Store programmes here on Tuesday (May 6).

On Monday (May 5), PKR secretary-general Dr Fuziah Salleh said the results of the elections for all 220 divisions nationwide had been confirmed and finalised by the leadership council.

Fuziah said the council met on Sunday (May 4) and was satisfied with the presentation by the election committee and the international digital auditors on the results in all divisions. – Bernamaa
