Melaka polls: Avoid politics of 'hatred', Mat Sabu urges PH machinery

PETALING JAYA: The Pakatan Harapan election machinery has been urged to avoid using racial and religious differences to stoke hatred as preparations begin for the Melaka state polls.

As reported by Sinar Harian, Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said the coalition’s machinery should adopt the Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin (universal mercy) approach in all its political activities.

He also called on Pakatan and Amanah members at all levels to begin the necessary on-ground preparations following the dissolution of the Melaka Legislative Assembly on Wednesday (Sept 23).

“I urge all Pakatan machinery at all levels, especially those from Amanah, to start going to the ground and carry out all the necessary preparations.

“Move as one team with discipline, integrity and a spirit of togetherness. Whether the role played is big or small, every effort and contribution is needed,” he said.

Mohamad also urged party members to stay patient, maintain discipline and remain prepared for challenges throughout the campaign period.

“Bring the Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin approach in all our efforts, with politics that bring mercy, justice and goodness to everyone, without making racial and religious differences a tool to create hatred.

“May all our efforts and hard work bring success to Pakatan in the Melaka state election,” he said.
