PUTRA HEIGHTS: All 87 households severely affected by the Putra Heights gas pipeline disaster have registered for temporary Airbnb accommodation, according to Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
However, 16 of these families have yet to finalise their moves due to preparation complications.
"These families are still in the process of finalising their move and accommodating themselves to the new potential Airbnb accommodation," he said during a press conference at the Putra Heights Mosque victim relief centre on Friday (April 11).
The Selangor government will also provide necessary documentation to help the affected victims move to their new temporary homes next Monday (April 14).
This documentation will enable the victims to receive the promised rental assistance of RM2,000 per month for six months, which will be deposited into their bank accounts monthly instead of as cash aid.
Amirudin added that starting next Monday, the current task force overseeing the Putra Heights gas pipeline fire will shift focus to implementing recovery efforts.
"Only the investigation division will remain active to continue monitoring investigations into this incident," he said.
