Melaka CM a 'great friend' of mine, says Saifuddin as he stays coy on possible BN-PH tie-up for state polls

PUTRAJAYA: The Melaka Chief Minister is a “great friend” of mine, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, as he remains coy on a partnership between Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan for the Melaka state elections.

The PKR interim deputy president, when met after an MOU signing between the Home Ministry and the Communications Ministry Tuesday (Aug 18), remained mum on such talks being conducted.

“I am good friends with the Melaka CM. He is an old friend and we are always in contact.

“I even know his itinerary on when he is coming back from his official visit to New Zealand. If I am in Melaka, I must visit him at his home and have a meal together.

“In our meet-ups, we discuss plenty of things. And since Melaka is almost due for elections, perhaps we too shall explore that possibility,” he said.
