A FATHER calmly assisted in the birth of his child inside a car while on the way to a clinic on the first day of Hari Raya, Sinar Harian reported.
The video went viral on social media, and according to the TikTok user, @ayahali9889, he was forced to stop his vehicle on the North-South Expressway’s (NSE) emergency lane at KM258.1 near the Menora Tunnel in Ipoh, southbound, after his wife started having pains.
In the 90-second video, his wife asked whether he was able to deliver the baby. Hiding his panic over a calm tone, the man told his wife that he could.
“The baby was born at 7.45am. We reached a clinic nearby at 8.10am. The placenta came out when we arrived at the clinic’s parking lot, and the umbilical cord was also cut there,” he said in a TikTok post on Monday.
