TWO people from China travelled 20 hours on an inflatable boat to slip into South Korea, major Chinese dailies reported.
Equipped with basic supplies, including a compass and life jackets, the pair – a man in his 30s and a woman in her 50s – set sail from Shandong province on March 7.
They got lost at sea due to bad weather and were eventually detained by South Korea’s marine police about 41km from an island off Incheon city.
It was learnt that the two, who were previously illegal immigrants in South Korea, were deported late last year.
They decided to go back to claim their unpaid wages and house rental deposit.
