SEREMBAN: Aisar Azim Abdullah, one of the victims in a crash involving two motorcycles and a car here, had told his family that he did not want new clothes for Hari Raya.

His elder brother Muhammad Aiman, 20, said Aisar Azim, fondly known as Alang, shared his wish a few days before the tragic accident last Thursday.

“When I asked him why he didn’t buy Raya clothes, he just said he didn’t feel like celebrating and wanted to stay home.

“I never thought it was a sign that he would leave us forever,” he told reporters at the Maqbarah Salimah Muslim Cemetery in Sikamat here yesterday.

Aisar Azim, 17, was pronounced dead early Monday at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar, where he had been receiving treatment since March 6.

He was the third of 10 siblings, Bernama reported.

His mother Nurha’afza Salwa Hazizan, 41, said he had always been excited about Syawal and loved wearing matching outfits with the family.

She said the last time she saw Aisar Azim was last Wednesday night when he returned home from a friend’s house.

“I didn’t know that would be the last time I’d see his face,” she said, adding that the family plans to take legal action over the accident.

On March 6, a teenage driver allegedly ran a red light and rammed into two motorcycles, killing two male secondary school students, aged 15 and 16, at the scene.

Aisar Azim and his friend were rushed to hospital after the incident.
