THE story of a young woman who brought her parents along for a date is garnering the attention of many online, Kosmo! reported.

In a video posted by TikTok user @__cikyan, the woman explained that she decided to bring her parents because of their strict nature.

Other family members were also seen in the video.

A check on the comment section found that most netizens commended the move.

“Families like this are usually close-knit and mostly educated. This isn’t casual dating, it’s dating to prepare for a post-Raya engagement. Congratulations, sister,” said one commenter.

Another netizen congratulated the parents for their parenting skills.

“You took care of your daughter well. Her boyfriend passed the test,” the netizen said.

Another wrote that by dating this way, the couple would be able to get to know each other before marriage rather than going into the union blindly.

To date, the post has received 30,000 likes, 1,469 comments and 7,137 shares on the platform.

> Former drummer of Caliph Buskers, Fendy Adlun, claimed he was “chased away” from busking at a Ramadan bazaar recently.

Harian Metro reported that Fendy, who was busking at Bandar Tun Razak’s Ramadan bazaar, claimed that Kuala Lumpur City Hall issued a ban on buskers at the bazaar.

Fendy, who is visually impaired, expressed frustrations with the order. “If I can’t carry on (busking), what else can I do? I can’t drive a Grab, I can’t work in an office. I can’t even wash dishes at a mamak shop,” he said.
