A TAMIL school’s 20-year battle for an additional 0.24ha of land has finally come to an end, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Efforts to get the land adjacent to SJK (T) Kuala Kubu Baru gazetted began in 2007 when the lack of a field hindered the organisation of sports activities for students.

The school’s parent teacher association, board of trustees, as well as former and current headmasters worked hard to make this a reality, said Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh.

> A man’s body was found inside a bag left at a train station in Tamil Nadu, India, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Station staff contacted police after passengers at the station in Chennai notified them about a bag that had been left by the platform for a long time.

Upon opening the bag, the police found a man’s torso tied up in plastic bags.

A receipt found in the bag identified the victim as Amir Ali.

Amir’s wife and a male accomplice, who were allegedly having an affair, were later picked up for questioning after CCTV footage showed them at the scene earlier.
