Three killed, two injured in Maran crash


KUANTAN: Three people were killed in a two-vehicle collision along Jalan Besar Maran-Temerloh in Kampung Paya Pasir, Maran, on Tuesday (July 28) morning.

Pahang Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Mohd Salahuddin Isa said the crash involved a Perodua Alza multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and a Perodua Myvi.

The department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 6.02am and dispatched a team from the Maran Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.

"Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, comprising a male passenger in the Perodua Alza and two women travelling in the Perodua Myvi," he said in a statement.

Two other individuals travelling in the Perodua Alza were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. – Bernama
