BIG Stage Rocketfuel contestant Hussain has the same natural appeal that made Mawi a fan favourite during Akademi Fantasia Season 3 nearly two decades ago, says veteran composer Ajai.

Ajai urged the singer to keep developing his talent despite his growing popularity, Kosmo! reported.

“When you watch him perform, he looks expressionless, but that’s who he is. No matter how he dances or moves, people still like him. He reminds me of the appeal Mawi had back then,” Ajai said after Big Stage’s fifth weekly concert.

Ajai said Hussain’s strength is his stage presence. While he is a capable singer, his performance stood out more for his entertaining stage movements.

Ajai was a guest judge alongside permanent judges Hael Husaini, Akim Ahmad and Aisha Retno.
