5.2GW goal in solar programme cycle

A SIXTH cycle of the large scale solar (LSS) programme will be started as part of the government’s hope to generate a potential 5.2 Gigawatts (GW) of solar power capacity in Peninsula Malaysia, says Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir.

The Energy Transition and Water Transformation Deputy Minister said LSS 6 will start once projects under the current LSS 5 are completed and are expected to come online in 2026 and 2027.
