Two questioned over viral cat-in-sack video in Teluk Intan


IPOH: Two individuals have been called up to have their statements recorded over the viral video of a cat that was put in a sack in Teluk Intan.

Hilir Perak OCPD Asst Comm Chua Kok Lian said the two included the individual who put the feline into the bag and one of the owners of the premises where the incident allegedly took place.

"We will refer the investigation paper to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's office soon.

"No arrests were made as this is a non-arrestable case," he said in a statement on Wednesday (June 10).

A one-minute 31-second video, purportedly showing a man putting a cat into a sack, went viral on TikTok last Thursday (June 4).

The individual could be heard saying he was packing roti canai after being confronted by another person filming the incident.
