Dr Wee extends Ramadan greetings to Muslims nationwide


KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong extended Ramadan greetings to all Muslims nationwide, who will begin fasting on Sunday (March 2).

In a Facebook message on Saturday (March 1), the MCA president wished a blessed Ramadan for all Muslims in Malaysia.

"Happy fasting in the month of Ramadan for all Muslims," said the Ayer Keroh MP.

The Keeper of the Rulers' Seal, Tan Sri Danial Syed Ahmad, announced on Friday (Feb 28) that the first day of Ramadan would fall on Sunday.

A total of 29 locations nationwide were involved in the attempts to sight the new moon, including Baitul Hilal Bangunan Sultan Ismail in Pontian, Johor, Kompleks Falak Al-Khawarizmi in Kampung Balik Batu, Tanjung Bidara in Melaka, Kuala Lumpur Tower, and Putrajaya International Convention Centre.
