Machang MP loses in Bersatu division election

MACHANG: Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal (pic) faced a major setback after losing the election for the Machang Bersatu division chief’s post

Wan Ahmad – a member of the Bersatu leadership supreme council and the Machang MP – lost to the incumbent, Kamaruddin Ab Kadir, also known as Cikgu Din.

Cikgu Din received 103 votes, while Wan Ahmad Fayhsal received only 26 votes.

Kelantan Bersatu Chairman, Datuk Kamarudin Md Nor, confirmed the matter when contacted on Saturday (Feb 22).

"This divisional election was held out of season because Machang did not hold a meeting after facing suspension due to several issues that did not meet the requirements," he said.
