PETALING JAYA: The parents of 20-year-old Aysar Zahran Saiful Alimin, who was killed in a road accident on Feb 2, urged the police to expedite and thoroughly investigate the mishap to ensure justice is served.
Aysar was an accounting student who ranked first in Malaysia and second globally in the Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) examination by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
He died at the scene after an MPV, while negotiating a bend, ploughed into his motorcycle and four other bikers on Jalan Hulu Langat-Ampang.

His father, Saiful Alimin Mohd Mokhtar, said on Tuesday (Feb 18) that he wants those responsible for the incident to be held accountable and face legal action.
"This is not just for our son, but for other road users too," he said at the law firm of his lawyer, Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla, in Kota Damansara.
Mohamed Hanif said the case is being investigated for reckless or dangerous driving under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.
He urged the police to expedite investigations and submit the probe papers to the Attorney-General Chambers for the next course of action.
"My client has no complaints against the police. All they want to do is to make it known that they want justice for their son and that the probe be promptly carried out. We have written to the police to notify them that my law firm will represent the family and undertake all communications with the relevant parties," he said.
