HONG Kong actor Lai Lok-yi (pic) praised Malaysia’s food and joked that his mood improves every time he visits Malaysia, Oriental Daily reported.
Recently, he visited Malaysia to promote the variety show The True Journey, which he produces and hosts.
In an interview, Lai shared his love for Malaysian food while working as a “one-day manager” at an Ipoh coffee shop to experience brewing coffee firsthand.
“Bak kut teh, Ipoh coffee, half-boiled eggs with kaya butter toast – I love it all,” he said.
Lai even said that, if given the chance, he would love to open a private kitchen restaurant here.
He also revealed that if the opportunity arises, he hopes to hold a charity dinner so that fans can taste his cooking while contributing to local public welfare.
