South Korean DJ Koo, who is known for his muscular build, is causing family and friends to worry after he appeared to have lost a lot of weight following the death of his wife Barbie Hsu, Sin Chew Daily reported.

They voiced concern as he had lost his appetite while mourning for his Taiwanese celebrity wife.

It was reported that he seemed much thinner since Hsu, 48, died just a week before their third wedding anniversary.

Koo and Hsu’s family ended up having to hold a wake for her on their anniversary day.

Hsu died of pneumonia on Feb 2 after contracting the flu during a vacation in Japan.

Her body was cremated and Koo brought her ashes back to Taiwan.

> All hell broke loose right after she took a bite out of her bread at a convenience store, China Press reported.

That was the moment when an assistant restaurant manager heard several explosions, sending her cowering in fear at the back of the store in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

Known only as Ida, she had gone to the convenience store to get a quick bite before going for a karaoke session with her friends.

When the blasts happened, Ida, 30, and other patrons scurried for shelter at the back of the shop.

“The glass door to the store was closed and prevented any of the explosions from hitting us. What we could see was smoke and lights shooting in all directions,” she said.

Apparently, a fireworks stall had caught fire which led to the explosion.

Ida and the other visitors escaped via a back door but her heart sank when she saw the damage to her car, which was parked near the stall.

Her car was one of five vehicles destroyed after the Feb 11 blasts.
