Three business premises on Pulau Perhentian razed


JERTIH: Three business premises located near a resort on Pulau Perhentian here were destroyed in a fire.

Besut OCPD Supt Mohd Rozaime Ab Rahim said his team received information about the incident at 4.25am on Thursday (March 26).

"The fire is believed to have started at a business premises owned by a local trader before spreading to a snorkelling service shop and grocery store.

"Preliminary investigations found that all structures along the beach, which were made with wood, were completely razed but no casualties were reported," he said in a statement.

He added that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. – Bernama
