Anwar to announce strategic energy crisis measures at 6.30pm


KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will announce Malaysia's strategic measures to strengthen preparedness for a potential global energy crisis following tensions in the Middle East in a special address at 6.30pm Thursday (March 26).

In a Facebook post, the Prime Minister said the approach to be outlined would be firm, well-planned and centred on the interests of the people as well as national resilience.

"Insya-Allah, I will outline the country's strategic measures to enhance preparedness in facing the global energy crisis arising from the conflict in West Asia, with an approach that is firm, structured and focused on the interests of the people and the nation's resilience," he said.

The announcement will be broadcast live on local television channels, including Bernama TV and Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). - Bernama
