Manhunt launched for suspects in stabbing of father, son in Beluran

KOTA KINABALU: Authorities are searching for two Indonesians accused of stabbing their employers and fleeing in the victim's vehicle, among other offences, in the Beluran district.

Beluran OCPD Supt Hasan Majid said that, according to information gathered, the suspects had stabbed a father and son duo, aged 50 and 23, at a private estate in Kampung Napagang Entilibon, Tongod, at around 3pm on Saturday (Feb 1).

“We received a report from the victim’s wife who said that her husband and son were seriously injured after being stabbed by their workers,” he said.

He said it was learnt that the suspects, Anuar, who was in his 40s, and Saril, who was in his 20s, had stabbed the victims using the sharp end of a palm oil fruit harvesting tool.

Supt Hasan said the suspects then fled in a white pickup truck, taking important documents, cash and handphones.

The victims were brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital after the incident.

The two suspects are said to be new workers in the estate.

Supt Hasan urged the public to come forward and assist in the investigation if they have any information that could help police find the suspects.

He also urged witnesses to provide information to the cops by contacting investigating officer Insp Sandra at 011-28066182, ASP Henry Laiyau at 010-9416656, Beluran police station at 089-511222 or the Tongod police station at 087-748223.
