IPOH: A total of RM991mil in land revenue collection is being targeted this year by the Perak government through the State Land and Mines Office (PTG).
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad expressed confidence in achieving the target, citing last year’s successful collection of RM913.9mil.
“The state government is committed to enhancing service delivery quality through digital system approaches, enabling online land transactions that simplify processes for the public and save time. “This has proven to be effective in optimising land administration,” he told a press conference after officiating the state- level “e-Tanah Day” programme here yesterday, which was also attended by state PTG director Datuk Mohamad Fariz Mohamad Hanip.
During the event, Saarani launched three new innovations – Field Module, the Technical Agency Prescriptions Solution System (e-TAPS), and the e- Tanah Mobile App, Bernama reported.
These three innovations aim to expedite land management processes while making them more accessible and efficient for the public – revolutionising land administration.
Meanwhile, Mohamad Fariz said land ownership transfers in Perak are now subject to strict conditions.
This includes the mandatory use of the e-Tanah system and the requirement for applicants to submit the original land title grant.
He said these measures are in place to prevent fraudulent land ownership transfers.
“We have taken the necessary steps to enhance the Computerised Land Registration System (SPTB) security to safeguard land ownership rights.
“We have also implemented security measures such as digital identity registration for officers and staff involved in the land transfer process.
“So far, we are confident this protection is effective in preventing misuse of power,” he added.
