Shanghai gym manager tricks workers to Myanmar

UNDER the pretence of going on a company vacation, a gym manager in Shanghai lured 30 of the gym’s employees to Thailand before selling them to human traffickers in Myanmar, reported China Press.

The incident was discovered after a message purportedly from one of the victims surfaced online.

In the message dated Jan 8, the victim pleaded with his gym manager to call his parents and siblings to rescue him from Myawaddy, a town in southeastern Myanmar.

According to a source, the gym’s area manager took 30 employees on a year-end team-building vacation to Thailand in 2024.

However, the employees ended up at scam call centres.

Fans noticed something amiss when the two stopped interacting with each other on social media.

After Ryu made a cryptic post on his wife’s infidelity, Yuma confessed online that she had cheated on him with a mutual friend.

Ryu, whose real name is Liew Wan Sian, also admitted to having an affair after finding out about the cheating.

In their latest video uploaded on Jan 18, the two announced that they divorced in December and sold their house in Japan.

Yuma said she will be leaving Ryuuu TV which has more than 1.8 million followers.

Ryu, who is from Kuching, Sarawak, said he will still be a YouTuber and will continue to share about Japanese culture.
