56 halal fraud cases this year with RM1.8mil in seizures, says govt


KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 56 cases of fraudulent halal logos and certificates, involving RM1.813mil worth of seizures, have been reported as of Monday (Dec 16) this year, says Fuziah Salleh.

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Deputy Minister said that the offences were committed under the Trade Descriptions (Definition of Halal) Order 2011 and the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Halal) Order 2011.
