Woman found in freezer died from blow to chest, autopsy finds


KUALA LUMPUR: The cause of death of an elderly woman whose body was discovered in a freezer in Taman OUG has been determined.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, in a statement on Thursday (Nov 21), said that the preliminary post-mortem report concluded that the cause of death was "chest injuries due to blunt trauma."

“As of now, nine statements have been recorded to assist the investigation. There is currently no set timeline regarding the murder, as we are awaiting the full post-mortem report,” he said when contacted.

Comm Rusdi also said the main suspect was discharged from the hospital on Nov 20 and is currently being held in at the Brickfields police headquarters until Nov 26.

It was previously reported that the woman was murdered three years ago by her son, who subsequently hid her body in a freezer. The suspect later contacted the police about the body.
